  1. That match was exactly what it was……one of those days when you have to go into work between Christmas and New Year.

Would it surprise anyone if the FA fined City for fielding an under-strength team? Confused

  2. BOO to Balfers……………………………………..just kiddin’
    3 points will do Smile

  3. Good old Jerry.
Didn’t put a foot wrong all game.
Bet nobody noticed and he gets a 6

It wasn’t great was it Balfers, but the conditions were dire, it was a packed defence, many of our best players either rested or injured and sometimes that happens. The key thing for me is 3 points and move on!

    Alph,

  4. Please don’t thank me for providing a link to that game Cry

Dear lord, Pullis and his anti football need removed from our game, more than foreign players this is the reason Ingurlund are shit.

  5. I will start looking about 10 minutes before the game Alph, there will be plenty but I will look for a good one, the thing is a lot look good before the game starts so you get a perfect picture during the chatting and adverts and then choppy as fuck when the game starts.

@Blooders that is the site I get my links from Smile

  6. Bluealf:
Lets hope the players are not as over confident as me today, plainly this is another Norwich scoreline or even more

Please post a link for the game Balfers Smile

    Ta matey

  7. Balfers is right about over confidence.. not so sure about another big score line as him.
If we apply ourselves properly we ought to win by at least 2.
Any more than that would be a nice bonus. Now would be an awful time to ease off and lose our superb home record.

  9. Calgary Blue: but you have to ask even when he is fit, when will he be able to perform at the same level as Neggers/Kun? It could be next season at this rate and if Jekkers does leave and we get a stronger replacement, that could put Jove at the back of the striking options.

Jove is quality Calgers. If/when he gets fit he will be like a new signing . If Edin goes, perhaps we need anoth cutting edge striker, but maybe not if big John gets a chance? Jove is different , he is a real No 10!

  10. Alphonso: bell boy: Latest Jove news…. he now has a hamstring injury…
That caught me out bellers. I put out a couple of emails to see if anyone I know has any news but nothing so far

The latest I heard is that he will be back in training next week but you have to ask even when he is fit, when will he be able to perform at the same level as Neggers/Kun? It could be next season at this rate and if Jekkers does leave and we get a stronger replacement, that could put Jove at the back of the striking options.

I saw this on another site. It’s a balanced view from a dippers site on yesterdays game, which I thought a fair reflection http://liverpooloffside.sbnation.com/liverpool-tactics-stats/2013/12/27/5247698/brendan-rodgers-blames-referee-city-loss-sterling-offside-fa-fine

That caught me out bellers. I put out a couple of emails to see if anyone I know has any news but nothing so far, the only thing out there seemed to be a throwaway comment from Express Newspapers.
It really is frustrtating if it’s true. With the number of times he’s pulled out recently there comes the nagging thought that maybe he is trying to do a Boateng and do a runner somewhere else come the January transfer window!

Remember that goallie we bought a few years ago, Ericsen? Every time Nicky Weaver was injured he was injured too – eventually we gave up on him and sold him on.

  12. Valentino Azzurro:
Another thought. I know it’s maybe unfashionable to praise Aleks Kolarov’s defensive contribution but the guy put in a couple of massive tackles and really stood up to be counted. A couple of tasty pinged crosses too.

You ought to know that being reasonable and giving credit where due can be catching Valers.
You could have started something unstoppable!
    Whatever can we expect next?
Balfers bigging up Yaya’s work rate?
Berko making Jerry his MoM Shock
….and then one day the biggie!
Valers admitting to Balfers that he admires the wisdom of goal keepers…

  14. Latest Jove news…. he now has a hamstring injury… Honest ! it’s not like you can make up this stuff. It’s becoming a farce that Brian Rix would have shunned for being too far fetched.

  15. Myurineisblue: Love to see Vinny wearing a shirt where the seams are “velcroed”…………….then see Skirtel trying to beg the ref. into not giving a penalty.

  16. Fully agree Vallers…………..
I see Rodgers is questioning Lee Mason being biased towards City. That is what he is implying anyway.
Mason is from Bolton – doesn’t make him a City fan. Also the linesman got the call wrong not Mason.
What penalty was Rodgers claiming late in the game??. Shirley not Suarez doing an amazing 2 tucks with pike –
should have been booked. – and Skirtel must have a wardrobe full of opponents shirts the way he pulls them off.
Love to see Vinny wearing a shirt where the seams are “velcroed”…………….then see Skirtel trying to beg the ref. into not giving a penalty.

  17. ‘Roy’ Rodgers is still singing about the cheating Manc referee. Mason comes from Bolton. According to my distance planner it’s 11 miles from Manchester and a mere 26 from Anfield. And the last time I was at the Reebok I don’t remember the locals having much love for us. Anyhow, most of the non-Trotters supporters up there are Rag fans.

  18. Players ratings from MUEN…………I think some are a bit high.
8 HART his first half save from Coutinho was as good as a goal in terms of winning the match, and he was secure and steady throughout
8 ZABALETA Heroes don’t come any greater than this man, defying a hamstring problem to put in a marvellous, gritty shift. Booked
9 KOMPANY How he defied gravity, and Skrtel’s illegal grasp, to score his header, is unknowable – and he defended with his life
7 LESCOTT Given some tricky moments by the wizardry of Suarez, but his game was also marked by a couple of vital interceptions and tackles
7 KOLAROV last-ditch tackle on Sterling was his biggest defensive contribution, and he also whipped in a couple of tempting crosses
8 FERNANDINHO How this lad is not in the Brazil squad is beyond comprehension. He was a vital component as City defended, and sprang some great attacks
8 TOURE Imposed his strength on Liverpool at important times, even if he was not the attacking force which strikes fear into opponents
8 NAVAS hit the post with a header in first half, and his running and crossing caused trouble for the Scousers throughout – pass for Negredo’s winner was class
9 SILVA We are running out of superlatives for the little man, but his sureness of foot and passing excellence fuelled City’s attacks all night
8 NASRI A vital cog in City’s brilliant counter-attacking machine, and it was a shame, if understandable, when he was sacrificed for Milner
8 NEGREDO Didn’t get as much joy as he normally does against defences visiting the Etihad, but as a lone striker he did his job superbly and grabbed a goal
    Subs
MILNER (for Nasri 72) brought some relief for his defence 7
DZEKO (for Negredo 77) put himself about well 7
GARCIA (for Silva 87) no time for impression
Not used: Pantilimon, Boyata, Nastasic, Clichy
    I would have given Yaya , Nasri , a 7.
I see Jovetic was not on the bench…?
